David Wild

As group head of Risk and Compliance, David is responsible for overseeing the strategic development, implementation and ongoing operation of an efficient and effective group risk management framework, ensuring a consistent approach to risk and compliance across the business in support of controlled, focused and sustainable growth. A member of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee, David has also been a speaker at Jersey Finance events and industry technical seminars.

Background and experience

David moved to Jersey in 1993, having read Modern Languages at Worcester College, Oxford. With over 25 years' experience in international financial services, David joined Ogier from a leading investor services group, where he held the role of global chief risk officer for six years. A chartered accountant by profession, his experience also includes 11 years' assurance and advisory work with leading accounting firms, as well as 10 years at a leading global bank during which David undertook a range of leadership positions including membership of the bank's global trust advisory board with oversight of fiduciary operations across the Caribbean, British Isles and Asia.

He is also a former technical director at Jersey Finance, where he was responsible for shaping the industry’s overall relationship with the JFSC and government.
