Declan Byrne

Declan is a capital markets professional with more than 25 years of experience across a broad range of credit-related work, with particular expertise in syndicated loans. 

Part of Ogier Global's Debt Capital Markets team, he works with clients across Europe and Asia on transactions involving facility agent and security agent structures. He also works with asset managers and investment firms on the structuring and operation of investment vehicles, with a focus on leveraged finance, real estate and structured finance.

Background and experience

Declan has considerable experience across all aspects of loan administration, from closing trades into complex structures to overseeing their day-to-day operation. His expertise also includes cash management, compliance monitoring and broader portfolio administration, whether acting in a facility agent capacity or supporting clients through middle-office outsourcing solutions.

Declan supports clients with LSTA and LMA frameworks, Islamic finance structures, as well as trade closing, global agency services and CLO collateral administration.

Before joining Ogier, Declan worked at multiple well regarded global banks, where he managed leveraged loan portfolios and teams across facility agency, security agency, secondary loan closing and collateral administration.

Declan holds a BA and MBA from Liverpool John Moores University.
