Faye is a senior associate in Ogier's Dispute Resolution team. Her key areas of expertise include commercial litigation, aviation litigation, contentious property disputes, insurance related disputes, and data protection/cyber security disputes.

Background and experience

Faye is a senior associate on our Dispute Resolution team with almost 15 years post qualification litigation experience.

Faye holds a first-class honours degree in law and business and is an accredited mediator.

Before joining Ogier in 2022, Faye practised as a barrister for 6 years dealing with a broad range of litigation disputes and subsequently worked as employed barrister in one of the biggest London based law firms in the world for 7 years.

Faye has been admitted to the Bar of Ireland and the Bar of England & Wales. She has also been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland and the Roll of Solicitors in England & Wales.

Experience includes:

  • Junior counsel in the reported decision of Kelleher & Kelleher v O'Connor [2010] IEHC 313 – this case is precedent for how the courts will deal with the issue of damages where there is a concurrence of causes of action.
  • Acted on behalf of the Plaintiff in the reported case of Ditt v Krohne [2012] IEHC 312. This case is precedent for the legal principle that an individual residing in an EU country that is not party to the Brussels Convention cannot be subject to an order for Security for Costs.
  • Worked as an associate on the legal team that won the "International Firm Innovation" award 2019 at the annual Legal Week Innovation Awards in London. This related to the team's work in developing a solution in order to help airlines track, review and defend against airline claims.  
  • Acted on behalf of Ireland (as instructed by the Attorney General) in several matters including drafting opinions and appearing on behalf of the State in the Garda Compensation Tribunal. 
  • Acted on behalf of Hines (one of the largest privately held real estate investors and managers in the world), in Judicial Review proceedings initiated by interested parties seeking to delay/reverse the decision of the Irish Planning Authority (An Board Pleanala) in granting our client significant planning permission for residential development. The development value is worth over €650m.
  • Acting on behalf of Atlas GP Limited, part of the Marlet Property Group- one of Ireland's largest property developers, in Judicial Review proceedings where the Plaintiff sought to delay/reverse the decision of the Irish Planning Authority in granting our client significant planning permission for a development of 255 residential units valued at over €102m.
