Guy is a client-facing former lawyer who helps private investment fund managers, and their onshore counsel, coordinate the set up and maintenance of their offshore investment fund structures and alternative investment vehicles. He has more than 20 years of experience in the private funds and legal industries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

In his capacity as chief commercial officer, with a focus on the US market, Guy supports the development and execution of the firm's global strategy and business expansion.

Background and experience

Guy has extensive buy and sell side experience in the investment funds industry, including senior commercial and legal roles at law firms, private equity fund managers and professional services firms.

In his most recent role, he led business development for an offshore law firm and financial services provider, and was responsible for US growth strategy, product development and sales of all divisional and group business lines.

He also possesses considerable advisory experience as a transactional funds lawyer, both inhouse at a large private equity fund manager and at major international law firms, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Latham & Watkins, in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Guy holds a Joint Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and German from the University of Nottingham and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Nottingham Law School in the UK.

Guy is a member of the Private Equity Lawyers Forum (PELF) and a regular speaker at industry events and conferences.
