James is the Group Legal Chief Operating Officer for Ogier. He has accountability for the operational effectiveness of Ogier across all jurisdictions, leading business services teams including HR, Marketing, IT, Operations, Risk and Compliance, Knowledge Management and the In-House Legal function.

Background and experience
James joined Ogier in January 2022 after spending 19 years with HSBC. There, James was part of their International Management programme and held diverse leadership roles with assignments in the UK, Italy, Qatar, Hong Kong, the USA and, finally, Jersey.
James graduated from Lancaster University Management School in 2002 and gained a further degree in Financial Services from the University of Manchester in 2005.
