Matthew’s practice primarily focuses on the establishment and structuring of private equity funds, hedge funds and other closed ended and open ended investment funds. He also has experience in general corporate matters and regulatory compliance.

Matthew joined Ogier from an SFC licensed virtual asset exchange in Hong Kong, where he focused on virtual asset / blockchain licensing and regulation. Prior to that, he trained with King & Wood Mallesons in Hong Kong, where he worked on corporate M&A matters, and latterly worked in the custody and investment management services legal team at State Street in Hong Kong.
Matthew received his Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Sussex (UK).
