Michael specialises in Cayman corporate matters and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, reorganisations, public listings and migrations. He also advises technology companies, ICO issuers and cryptocurrency funds and is a member of the firm's Digital, Blockchain and Fintech group.
Prior to joining Ogier, Michael trained at DWF LLP from September 2012 and qualified in October 2014. Prior to training, Michael worked as a paralegal for firms such as Allens Linklaters, Griffith Hack and Berrymans Lace Mawer.
After joining Ogier's Jersey office in 2014, Michael has worked on several headline deals including the $1.5 billion IPO of EN+ Group PLC and the £488 million refinancing of the Intu Merry Hill Shopping Centre. In his spare time, he also set up the Jersey Junior Lawyers Association, a social and networking group for young lawyers living in Jersey.
Michael joined Ogier's Cayman office in January 2018 and continues to work on corporate matters and, in particular, initial coin offerings and tokenised funds involving blockchain technology.
