Ridhiima Kapoor is a senior associate in the Investment Funds and Corporate group in the Cayman Islands. She advises on the establishment, launch and maintenance of investment funds, including registered mutual funds, hedge funds and private equity funds. Ridhiima is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. She specialises in structuring advice, fund formation, advising on ongoing fund operation including regulatory compliance with experience advising on term extensions, wind-down and termination.
She regularly works with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority with regards to funds registration/de-registration and has experience advising on securities registration and licensing. Ridhiima also advises on general corporate and commercial matters.
Ridhiima recently completed a six-month secondment to Ogier's Jersey office working within the Funds and Finance team where she assisted with funds regulatory matters with the JFSC and also on Jersey Property Unit Trusts.
Ridhiima joined Ogier in 2012 as an articled clerk and was subsequently admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2014. She passed the Legal Practice Course with Commendation from the College of Law - London Moorgate in 2012 and attained her LLB (Hons) from the University of Nottingham, England in 2011. In 2010 she completed a six month internship with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority's Legal Division.
Prior to this, she was selected to represent the Cayman Islands at the United World College of the Adriatic in Italy from 2005-2007 where she attained her International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Ridhiima was former Director and Vice-Chairperson of the United World College - Cayman Islands Board. She is a member (former Council Member) of the Caymanian Bar Association and 100 Women in Finance.
