Ogier's Guernsey corporate team has advised French gaming player Focus Entertainment on its acquisition of Railsimulator.com, the parent company of Dovetail Games, an award-winning UK-based developer and publisher. Dovetail Games has become a definitive reference point for the train sim genre and has a strong track record for creating immersive and authentic sim-experiences.

The Ogier team advised on all Guernsey law aspects in relation to the acquisition and consisted of partners Tim Clipstone and Richard Sharp, senior associate James Walsh, associate Amy Williamson and trainee solicitor James Hewlett, who worked alongside lead legal counsel White & Case LLP in London and Paris.

Richard said: "This was an exciting transaction involving two high profile IP development in simulation businesses and we are pleased to have been able to demonstrate, once again, the strength of our full-service corporate offering on both local and international transactions such as this. We were delighted to have again worked alongside a team at White & Case LLP and to help new client Focus Entertainment SA on this acquisition."
