Ogier in Hong Kong advises CMOC on US$1.2bn guaranteed convertible bonds issuance

Ogier's Corporate team in Hong Kong acted as British Virgin Islands counsel to China-based CMOC Capital Limited on its successful issuance of US$1.2 billion guaranteed convertible bonds on the Vienna Stock Exchange – supporting the company's overseas mining expansion.

CMOC Capital Limited is an offshore subsidiary of CMOC Group Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. CMOC Group Limited operates globally and is among the foremost traders of base metals worldwide. The company is recognised as a leading international producer of copper, cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten and niobium. 

The Ogier team was led by partner Cecilia Li, with support from the firm's global head of Corporate, Nathan Powell, legal manager Jasmine Chan, associate Kingston Tang and paralegal Josie Ma.
