United Nations UNCITRAL Colloquium 2026

Racheal is speaking at The United Nations UNCITRAL Colloquium.

The event explores legal frameworks for digital trade and finance, foucsing on digital assets, secured transactions and governance of digital platforms. It brings together governments, organisations, academia and industry to address cross-cutting issues and support coherent future legal work in an increasingly data-driven global economy.

Racheal will contribute to Stream One of the UNCITRAL Colloquium on "Harmonising law in the age of digital trade and finance" on Wednesday, 11 February at 10:00 am (EST). Her session will address the modernisation of the Model Law on Secured Transactions in the context of the digital economy, including proposals to remove legal and structural barriers to the collateralisation of digital assets. The discussion will focus on enhancing legal certainty and improving access to capital in an increasingly digital financial system.
