Authorised signatory lists are not static documents. They need to be kept current as people join, leave, are promoted or have their signing authority changed.
To manage this effectively, Ogier Global uses Cygnetise, which gives Ogier's corporate and fiduciary division a faster, more secure and controlled way to manage those updates.
Ogier used Cygnetise with a number of clients, including banking partners.
Maria Varsanyi-Danyi, part of Ogier’s Corporate Governance team, explains: “Compared with the old process, Cygnetise makes a significant difference. With a click of a button, the authorised signatories list (ASL) is ready, with no printing and no need to chase signatures manually.”
The efficiency gain for Ogier Global has been significant. When an update is required, the process can now be completed in minutes.
Maria Varsanyi-Danyi notes: “It takes less than a minute to send an update, saving over 95% of the usual time, while giving our client, Lloyds International, confidence that the information has come from us and will be securely updated.”
Lloyds International are also part of the Cygnetise ecosystem. By receiving current ASL information digitally, Lloyds reduces reliance on paper handling, lowers the risk of outdated records and processes client instructions with greater confidence. As Stephen Ogborn, Lloyd's Head of Corporate, Jersey states: “As a bank, one of the key risks we manage is payment fraud, and ASLs play an important role in that control framework. By using Cygnetise, we can significantly reduce that risk for both the bank and the customer.”
Donna Laverty, Director for Ogier Global, notes: “Cygnetise has been really helpful and has supported the growth of Ogier Global over the past nine years. Keeping records current helps avoid rejected instructions, payment delays and unnecessary operational friction. With a click of a button, we can see what has changed, who has been added or removed and whether signing levels have been amended, which makes reporting much easier.”
For Ogier Global, Cygnetise supports its wider commitment to using technology where it improves efficiency, governance and client service. For Lloyds, it creates a more secure and reliable channel for maintaining signatory data with a key client. The result is a stronger operating model for both parties: faster updates, less manual effort, better control and fewer avoidable delays.
Ogier is a professional services firm with the knowledge and expertise to handle the most demanding and complex transactions and provide expert, efficient and cost-effective services to all our clients. We regularly win awards for the quality of our client service, our work and our people.
