Janice Chu named an ALB Hong Kong Rising Star

Corporate partner Janice Chu has been named in Asian Legal Business Hong Kong's 2026 Rising Stars list. 

Asian Legal Business’ (ALB) annual list spotlights Hong Kong’s top emerging legal talent. The rankings celebrate those who have demonstrated “exceptional dedication, sharp legal acumen and innovative approaches to client service”. 

Janice is a leading IPO lawyer for offerings and listings in Hong Kong, the PRC and the US. She is described by clients as “technically excellent and highly commercial” giving “clear, deal-ready advice that keeps execution moving”. 

In addition to her IPO work, Janice acts as BVI and Cayman counsel on a wide range of corporate finance transactions, including SPAC and de-SPAC transactions, privatisations, mergers and acquisitions and private equity.

Her status as a future leader has been cemented by spearheading a number of recent high-profile deals. Her latest significant matters include advising Chenghe Acquisition II Co. on its US$3.6 billion de-SPAC merger with Polibeli Group Ltd, a B2B e-commerce platform headquartered in Indonesia, and TMD Energy Limited on its US$10 million NYSE American IPO.
