Ogier and Every Child Our Future mark 10 years of enhancing reading skills in Jersey primary schools

As the programme’s inaugural corporate sponsor in 2025, Ogier’s support has enabled Every Child Our Future to continue to recruit and train volunteers, providing reading practice for children across Jersey's primary schools, ensuring every child has the time and encouragement to grow as a confident reader. 

Nicola Carroll, CSR manager at Ogier, reflected: “At Ogier, we're extremely proud of our ongoing support for the Every Child Our Future Ready to Read programme. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who collectively support pupils across four classes at Rouge Bouillon School. Over the past decade, our colleagues have seen first-hand the positive impact of one-on-one reading with the school's pupils and they find the experience hugely rewarding. 

"We recognise the importance of this vital scheme and its long-term benefits, both within and outside the classroom and congratulate Every Child Our Future for a decade of dedication to supporting children in Jersey with the educational foundations they need to thrive.” 

Senior associate and Ogier volunteer Mark Watson was encouraged to get involved as a meaningful way to connect with the community: “Volunteering with Every Child Our Future is genuinely one of the most rewarding things I do outside my day job. It’s a small time commitment, but the impact on a child's confidence and self-belief can be huge, and you always come back to your desk smiling.”
