Ogier articled clerk programme celebrates two graduates called to the bar

Two graduates from Ogier’s articled clerk training programme have qualified as associates after being called to the Cayman Islands bar.

Shay Miller joins the Dispute Resolution team and Julie Harris joins the Corporate team.

Shay joined the firm as a paralegal in the Dispute Resolution team before progressing to become an articled clerk. Shay studied Business Administration at Brock University in 2014 before obtaining a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Liverpool in 2023 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Oxford Brookes University in 2024.

Julie joined Ogier as a Corporate Administrator and later advanced to an Articled Clerk. Julie completed her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) at York University in 2016, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Liverpool in 2023 and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Distinction from Oxford Brookes University in 2024.

Ogier's articled clerk programme operates to the standards set by the Cayman Islands Attorney General and Legal Advisory Council. Trainees rotate through contentious and non-contentious areas of the practice over 18 months.
