Ogier builds on training success as Natasha Polak qualifies in Jersey

Natasha Polak has been promoted to associate in Ogier’s Local Legal Services team in Jersey, following the successful completion of the firm’s two-year trainee solicitor programme. 

Having graduated from Cardiff University with an LLB Law Degree and subsequently gaining a distinction in the University of Law’s Legal Practice Course, Natasha’s journey with Ogier began in 2018 when she joined as a bursary student.

Gaining experience across teams including Banking and Finance, Dispute Resolution, Corporate, Local Legal Services and Funds, she became a paralegal in the Corporate team in 2022 before starting her training contract in 2023, taking her first seat in Local Legal Services. 

Training Principal partner Richard Daggett said: “Congratulations to Natasha on reaching this milestone in her career. Natasha’s pathway from bursary student to associate is a great example of how our training schemes develop talented young lawyers and help them to build lasting careers with Ogier. We are delighted to welcome her into the Local Legal Services team.”

Ogier’s training scheme, regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, provides hands-on experience through up to four seats, a professional skills course and an experiential litigation module including a mock trial at the Magistrate’s Court. Enhanced to align with the SQE regime, the programme has produced a strong pipeline of newly qualified associates over the past 18 years, many of whom have progressed to Counsel, Managing Associate and Partner roles.
