Ogier in BVI continues support for Joyce Samuel Primary School

Ogier has supported long-time charity partner Joyce Samuel Primary School with resources to cover two literacy and maths programmes and a year's internet service.

The firm is supporting Math Mania, an eight-week maths programme for pupils that the school had previously run with positive results, but which had lapsed after the disruption caused by Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Also, Ogier is supporting a student-centered literacy initiative that provides 90 minutes tuition to small groups focusing on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and writing.

The support to the children at Joyce Samuel Primary School is the latest step in a relationship that goes back to 2010 – Ogier has supported the school with laptops, audio-visual equipment and classroom materials, and since the hurricane has part-funded a new roof and replaced lost equipment.

Monique Adams, managing director of Ogier Global (BVI) Limited, and Decoy Mactavious, practice manager of Ogier's BVI office, attended Joyce Samuel Primary School to present the materials for the two new programmes.

"We're always delighted to help the school, which really feels like part of the broader Ogier family," said Monique.

"It's particularly great to see our support directly impacting the children in key areas such as maths and literacy, and online connectivity, which is hugely important for a school here in the BVI.

"We look forward to continuing to support the children at Joyce Samuel Primary School, and continuing to see them prosper."
