Aidan leads the Fund Accounting team for Ogier Global in Ireland.
Background and experience
Aidan is a senior financial services professional based in Ireland with over 25 years of financial services experience. For 12 years he held the role of senior vice president in the private equity fund accounting department of Bank of New York (BNY), where he worked with a number of tier-one private equity clients. He was responsible for the fund accounting for various alternative investment structures (private equity, real estate and hedge funds) from launch through to NAV preparation, specific ad-hoc projects, investor and regulatory reporting (for funds domiciled in Ireland, the UK, Luxembourg and the Cayman Islands).
He joined BNY from the Liechtenstein Global Trust (LGT), a privately owned international private banking and asset management group, owned by the Princely House of Liechtenstein, where he held the role of fund operations manager from 2005 to 2013. He headed up the fund administration team responsible for fund accounting, transfer agency and financial reporting functions, working with private equity and hedge fund investment fund structures.
He holds a BA (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City University, Executive MBA (Honours) from University College Dublin and is a Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
