Colette brings more than 20 years' experience spanning legal practice, corporate administration and regulatory advisory within the offshore sector.
She specialises in corporate governance, regulatory compliance and cross-border fiduciary matters, offering client expert guidance tailored to their individual requirements. Colette has successfully provided professional company administration services to entities across a wide range of sectors,combining deep sector knowledge with a commitment to exceptional client service and effective solutions in complex regulatory and cross-border matters.
Prior to joining Ogier, Colette served as Senior Crown Counsel in the Attorney General's Chambers of the Government of the British Virgin Islands, advising government ministries, regulators and statutory bodies on international cooperation and asset recovery matters. She played a leading role in cross-border investigations, securing significant restraint orders, including the Chamber's first cryptocurrency related order.
During her tenure, Colette delivered presentations and led training workshops for law enforcement officers and regulatory stakeholders on the operation of the mutual legal assistance regime and cross border cooperation in financial crime investigations. She has also represented the Government of the Virgin Islands on matters relating to the mutual legal assistance regime.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Colette held senior management positions in the offshore financial services industry, where she oversaw corporate administration, client due diligence, governance and team leadership.
Colette holds an LLB (Hons) and has completed the Bar Professional Training Course at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, magna cum laude, with a concentration in Managerial Economics from Inter American University of Puerto Rico and is an accredited civil and commercial mediator.
