David Lin 林亦轩

David has significant experience in representing PRC and Hong Kong managers in the structuring, establishment and maintenance of Cayman Islands domiciled private funds, including hedge and private equity funds.

Background and experience

David is Ogier's partner based in Hong Kong.

David joined the Hong Kong office in 2014 from Linklaters.

Since joining Ogier, David has focused on advising clients on the structuring, establishment and maintenance of Cayman Islands and BVI domiciled hedge and PE funds, and their affiliated investment managers / advisers. David is particularly experienced in addressing the demands and concerns of established PRC managers setting up offshore funds for the first time, and has developed a large client base and service provider network surrounding such client needs.

David received his Bachelor of Laws in 2008 from The London School of Economics and Political Science.

David is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England and Wales and the British Virgin Islands, and is also a Registered Foreign Lawyer regulated by the Law Society of Hong Kong.

David speaks native Mandarin, and fluent English and Cantonese.
