Dee Murphy

Deirdre is a senior associate in Ogier's Dispute Resolution team in Dublin and advises a range of clients engaged in complex litigation before the High Court, the Commercial division of the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. She also has extensive experience advising financial institutions on enforcement options and advising directors and shareholders in corporate and shareholder disputes.

Background and experience

Deirdre advises financial institutions on High Court/Commercial Court litigation arising from enforcement action, including, but not limited to, judicial review and injunction proceedings, plenary and summary judgment proceedings.

She has considerable expertise in corporate restructurings (solvent and insolvent) and insolvency (contentious and non-contentious) and has advised Irish and international insolvency practitioners, financial institutions and investors in restructuring or business termination events.

Deirdre joined Ogier after nearly ten years with a top five commercial law firm in Dublin. A graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, Deirdre received a BA in Legal Science and Irish and completed her Diploma in Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency through the Law Society of Ireland.
