Elise Mitchell

Elise is a Director in the Fund Administration team with overall responsibility for regulatory compliance. She has been consistently rated as an exceptional performer, with a legal background and a wealth of regulatory experience and knowledge spanning more than 17 years, including ten years with the JFSC in the authorisation and supervision divisions and seven years in the funds industry.

Background and experience

Before joining Ogier in April 2023, Elise led the client key person team at large fund and corporate service providers. She has assumed the position of key person to some of Jersey's largest regulated FSBs and collective investment funds including the world's largest fund.

Qualifications include:

BSC (Hons) First Class Occupational Therapy Degree awarded by Coventry University in June 1999

First module of "Understanding Law" completed through the Open University. LLB Degree, achieving distinction grades from January 2003 to September 2003

Post Graduate Diploma in Law with Commendation (2:1) awarded by Guildford College of Law in June 2004

Legal Practice Course Certificate Award by Guildford College of Law in June 2005

CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance (covering an introduction to securities and investments, FCA financial regulation and regulatory compliance) awarded by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, passing first time (results published in the Financial Times) in January 2011

Management Development Master Class, awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management in December 2011

The JFSC's AML/CFT Certificate, distinction grades, awarded by Jersey's International Business School, annually during her 10-year tenure at the JFSC
