Emily is a commercial litigator who originally qualified in England and Wales. Emily has acted for clients in a broad range of disputes, including high value cross-border matters. She has experience in acting for clients in urgent applications for injunctive relief, freezing orders and Norwich Pharmacal orders, in addition to representing clients' interests in mediation and settlement discussions.

Background and experience

Emily is a dispute resolution solicitor with 6 years' litigation experience. Prior to joining Ogier in 2022, Emily worked in Stephenson Harwood LLP's Commercial Litigation department, having trained at Eversheds Sutherland LLP, and completed client secondments at Heathrow Airport and Standard Chartered Bank. Whilst at Stephenson Harwood, Emily was seconded to the London Commercial Court where she worked as a Judicial Assistant to Mr Justice Butcher over the Easter and Trinity terms in 2022, focusing on business insurance cases arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Emily's commercial litigation experience includes fraud claims and freezing injunctions, e-money disputes, and a wide variety of contractual disputes. In addition, Emily has been involved in judicial review proceedings before the London Administrative Court, and in the UK public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

Emily is a graduate of the University of Bristol.
