James has a range of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and general corporate work. James also has experience in banking and finance and regulatory matters.

Background and experience

Before joining Ogier in June 2019, James spent two years working as a paralegal in the corporate team of another international offshore law firm where he gained experience advising on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring and aircraft financing.

James completed masters degrees at the University of St Andrews and University of Pennsylvania prior to undertaking his Graduate Diploma in Law at the Nottingham Law School and Bar Professional Training Course at City Law School.

James was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2019 and was awarded the Everard Ver Heyden Foundation Prize. James was admitted to the Guernsey Bar in June 2021.
