Ogier in Guernsey advises Portunes Pension Capital on landmark UK capital-backed pension transaction

James is a senior associate in Ogier's Corporate team in Guernsey who specialises in corporate and commercial legal advice, corporate M&A, private equity investment and corporate financing.

Background and experience
James' experience spans corporate, commercial and regulatory law with a particular focus on financial regulation, merger control and the provision of specialist advice. His clients include asset managers and investment funds operating across a wide range of asset classes including hedge funds, private equity, infrastructure, real estate and venture capital.
James also regularly advises on high-value merger and acquisition transactions and derivatives transactions including those undertaken pursuant to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association master agreements.
James joined Ogier in 2019, prior to which he worked outside the legal industry before completing his legal training, during which time he was awarded the Everard Ver Heyden Foundation Prize in connection with his studies, alongside working at another leading offshore law firm.
