Jessica Crawford

Jessica specialises in the formation and ongoing operation and compliance of Cayman Islands investment funds investing across all asset classes.

Background and experience

Jessica is a partner in Ogier's Investment Funds team and is based in the Cayman Islands.

Jessica advises top global asset managers, private equity sponsors and emerging and spin-off managers on fund formation and ongoing operational matters including legal and regulatory compliance, governance and fiduciary matters, seed deals and strategic investor relations, fund re-domiciliation (into and out of the Cayman Islands), restructuring, liquidity issues and terminations. 

As part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team, Jessica has extensive experience advising on the formation of hybrid funds, co-investment vehicles and special strategy funds (including private credit, infrastructure, real estate, venture capital). Jessica also advises on downstream corporate transactions, restructuring and secondary sales and represents prospective investors on their investments into Cayman Islands fund structures (including due diligence and legal opinions).

Jessica joined Ogier's Investment Funds team in 2017, prior to which she was a corporate lawyer at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Sydney, Australia where she gained extensive experience advising on public and private mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and equity capital markets.
