Max's experience includes fraud and asset tracing, contentious trust and private client, insolvency and restructurings, enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards, professional negligence, and regulatory matters (both for the regulator and the regulated). He regularly represents clients in major litigation before first instance and appellate courts, and has acted in proceedings before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
Max is also part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Restructuring and Corporate Recovery team and has experience in formal insolvency procedures, negligence and breach of duty claims and investor and shareholder actions, including statutory remedies. Max has contributed articles to publications including the Global Restructuring Review and LexisNexis in relation to insolvency topics.
Before emigrating to the Cayman Islands and joining Ogier in 2021, Max worked for another major offshore firm in Jersey. Prior to that, Max qualified and practised in England. He studied law at Queen Mary University, in London.
