Ogier advises China Communications Construction Company Limited on its US$1.5 billion perpetual securities offering

Ogier's corporate team in Hong Kong acted as BVI counsel on a perpetual securities offering by China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC). The Chinese State-owned engineering giant offers transportation and construction services.

Partner Nathan Powell and senior associate Cecilia Li advised on the issuance which comprised of two tranches. This included an issue of 3.425% subordinated guaranteed perpetual securities in the principal amount of US$1 billion and 3.65% in the principal amount of US$500 million by CCCI Treasure limited, a BVI incorporated subsidiary of CCCC. Both issues were unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by CCCC.

Our team worked alongside Linklaters, who acted as the issuer’s international counsel, and Allen & Overy, who acted as the underwriters’ international counsel.
