Ogier advises LMAX Group on US$150 million strategic financing from Ripple

Ogier has acted as Jersey counsel to LMAX Group, the leading global cross-asset marketplace for FX and digital assets, on a US$150 million financing facility provided by Ripple.

The facility is a core component of a broader strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the convergence of traditional and digital capital markets.  The financing supports LMAX Group’s long-term growth strategy and the institutional integration of Ripple USD (RLUSD) as a core collateral asset within LMAX’s global trading infrastructure.

Working alongside instructing counsel Squire Patton Boggs, Ogier advised on the Jersey legal and regulatory requirements for the documentation and execution of the credit facility. The mandate underscores Ogier’s specialist expertise in structuring high-value financing for institutional-grade digital asset platforms.

The Ogier team was led by partner Matthew Shaxson, with support from senior associate Mark Watson.
