Ogier advises on acquisition of UK Balanced Property Trust Limited

Ogier has advised on the acquisition of The UK Balanced Property Trust Limited’s entire property portfolio valued at £417.5 million, by means of a purchase of all the company’s subsidiaries.  The UK Balanced Property Trust Limited is based in Guernsey and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Through its subsidiaries it undertakes investment and rental of a wide range of property in The United Kingdom, including office properties, retail warehouses, shopping centres and industrial properties.

An Ogier cross-jurisdictional team led by Roger Le Tissier in Guernsey, along with Marcus Leese, Simon Davies, Andy Lowe, Jon Barclay and Rabie Abas, acted as Guernsey legal advisers to GE Capital Corporation Inc (in conjunction with Slaughter & May), with Marc Yates, Sara Johns, Kevin Nosib and Barbar Kasinski-Moignard advising on the Jersey aspects of the transaction.
