Ogier advises on purchase of Robus Group Limited

Ogier in Guernsey has acted as lead counsel for long-standing client The Ardonagh Group Limited on the acquisition of leading Guernsey-based independent insurance management, fiduciary and financial advisory company Robus Group Limited, including its various overseas subsidiaries.

With offices in Guernsey, Gibraltar and Malta, Robus provides services to captive insurers, open market insurers and reinsurers, insurance intermediaries, and other corporate entities around the world.

The Ogier team was led by Partner Tim Clipstone with assistance from Senior Associate James Walsh and Legal Assistant James Dickinson. The team acted as lead-counsel to The Ardonagh Group Limited, and advised on all aspects of the transaction, including due diligence, negotiation of all transaction documents, regulatory change of control approval and employee retention matters.  Ogier worked with Isolas LLP and Camilleri Preziosi in respect of the Gibraltar and Malta aspects of the transaction respectively.
