Ogier in Guernsey advises Ventures Platform on second Guernsey fundraise

Ogier's Investment Funds team in Guernsey has advised Ventures Platform on the successful raising of its second Guernsey-based fund, Ventures Platform Pan-African Fund II.

Ventures Platform is an African early-stage venture capital firm that invests in companies that solve for non-consumption, plug infrastructural gaps and democratise prosperity in Africa by eliminating the barriers to access and reducing the costs of delivering goods and services.

The Guernsey-registered closed-ended fund aims to deepen Ventures Platform’s foundational pre-seed and seed-stage investments, lead and catalyse Series A investments to effectively de-risk high-potential ventures and enhance value creation. The fund also aims to consolidate the firm’s activities in Francophone Africa, accelerating its pan-African reach across North Africa while reinforcing its commitment to core operations in Nigeria and broader Africa.

Ventures Platform Pan-African Fund II attracted significant investor interest, with 70% of limited partners from Ventures Platforms' prior Guernsey fund (first institutional fund) choosing to participate again, as well as participation from international financial institutions, development institutions, leading European family offices, a consortium of prominent global investors and a first-of-its-kind participation from the Nigerian Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) programme.
