In recent years, private investors and wealthy families with entrepreneurial backgrounds have been looking for co-investment opportunities with other private investors, families or institutions – accessing deals that may otherwise be beyond their reach, diversifying their risk and offering more control on a deal-by-deal basis.
Industry experts attribute this trend to a number of changes, none more influential than the increase in sophistication of private investors and family offices themselves, the accumulation of assets and the talent required to effectively allocate capital directly into the private space. As a consequence of turbulent economic conditions, reports also suggest clients have lost confidence in some private equity managers, leading private investors and families to invest directly as they look to achieve lower fees, greater control and greater transparency.
Josephine Howe will join a panel of leading experts in the private client world to explore the key drivers behind these trends, the opportunities for international finance centres such as Jersey, and the factors affecting co-investment structures for private investors.
Please note that this event is exclusive to Jersey Finance Members only.
