Ogier is pleased to partner with STEP Cayman to deliver a seminar to members on topical issues related mental capacity.

The loss of mental capacity is an issue that many trustees will be aware of but is something that can be challenging to deal with and uncomfortable to discuss.

Ogier Counsel Christopher Levers and Associate Gregory Haddow will consider the Cayman law test for capacity and how a trustee can deal with a scenario where a power holder’s capacity might be in question and what can be done to make a trust ‘capacity proof’.

The session will look at some practical tips for trustees when faced with capacity issues and what assistance may be available from the Cayman courts in such circumstances.

The seminar will be followed by networking drinks.
