This seminar will be introduced by Nick Williams, Partner in the Dispute Resolution team with the following topic areas presented by our Ogier hosts:

  • Katherine Neal -  Dealing with the next generation with a particular focus on the Middle East  – what are we seeing in practice around the hand-over of responsibility and control? What are the pitfalls here? How to prepare?  What about ESG and philanthropy?
  • Richard Laignel – What is the role of the protector? How has recent case law impacted upon this? What are we seeing in practice around the role itself and who should perform the role? How do we draft for this?
  • Oliver Passmore – Privy Council decision in Z Trusts – what does this mean for trustees? 

A light breakfast will be served prior to the seminar which will also be an opportunity to network.
