Commercial litigation, insurance disputes, and contentious insolvency and fraud specialist Farrah Sbaiti has been promoted to partner at Ogier.
Farrah, who was recently described as a "fantastic talent" in the Chambers Global 2026 Guide, joins Rachael Reynolds KC, Marc Kish, Jennifer Fox, Gemma Bellfield, Deborah Barker Roye, Shaun Maloney, Christopher Levers and Jeremy Snead as a partner in the Cayman Islands contingent of Ogier's multi-jurisdictional Dispute Resolution team.
Since joining Ogier in 2021, Farrah has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. She regularly works on complex, cross-border corporate litigation and fraud and asset tracing matters, including as part of Ogier’s successful defence of the Fourth Defendant in the multimillion-dollar Abdulhameed Jafar v Abraaj Holdings and Others fraud case.
Farrah also regularly provides advice to, and acts for, shareholders in fair value proceedings arising under section 238 of the Cayman Islands Companies Act. In 2025, she successfully acted for the dissenter in the long-running case of Re Xingxuan Technology Ltd, which saw the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands hand down its landmark decision in determining fair interest rates without expert evidence.
Farrah leads the firm’s Cayman Insurance Disputes practice, acting for both onshore and international insurers against claims brought under the terms of a variety of policies, including medical malpractice, liability, aviation and marine risk and motor vehicle accidents.
In addition to her work at Ogier, Farrah is a member of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and a Co-Chairperson of RISA Cayman’s Board of Directors.
On her promotion, Farrah said: "I am thrilled to be joining the strong and supportive partnership at Ogier, whose progressive culture and dedication to promoting diversity, growth and excellence have helped to support this milestone in my career.
"It is an honour to be able to continue to grow and develop my skills, and I look forward to contributing to the ongoing collective success of the firm for years to come".
Global head of Dispute Resolution Marc Kish said: "We are incredibly proud to announce Farrah's promotion to partner. She has proven herself as an accomplished litigator and demonstrated exceptional commitment to her clients and colleagues. This promotion is a reflection of her considerable talent, dedication and hard work. Congratulations, Farrah".
