Fraud and asset tracing, trusts and estates litigation and insolvency and restructuring specialist Sarah Latham has been promoted to partner* at Ogier.

Sarah, who was named a "key lawyer" by Legal 500 in its 2026 Caribbean guide, joins Nicholas Brookes, Brian Lacy, Nicholas Burkill, Jeremy Snead and Sarah Thompson as a partner in the BVI contingent of Ogier's multi-jurisdictional Dispute Resolution team.

A solicitor-advocate, Sarah brings a wealth of experience in commercial and corporate litigation, contentious trusts matters, cross-border restructuring, enforcement proceedings, insolvency and shareholder disputes - often with an element of unfair prejudice.

Since joining Ogier in 2020, Sarah has acted in some of the highest-profile matters in the BVI, including as part of Ogier’s team advising the liquidators of Three Arrows Capital and the cross-border restructuring of six BVI companies placed into “light touch” provisional liquidation.

On her promotion, Sarah said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Ogier BVI partnership and very grateful to all the partners, colleagues, friends and family who have supported and guided me along the way. It is a privilege to be part of such a dynamic and thriving team and I am excited for the opportunity to continue serving our clients and to contribute to the firm's future success.”

Practice partner Nicholas Brookes said: “We are delighted to announce Sarah's promotion to partner. Since joining Ogier, Sarah has been consistently recognised as one of our star performers, wowing our clients and members of our firm during her involvement on some of our most complex cases. Her promotion is a reflection of her talent, dedication and incredibly hard work. Well done, Sarah.”
