Jersey Dispute Resolution team associate Matthew Davies has been recognised as IFC Lawyer of the Year - Associate (Bronze) at the recent Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2020.

Matthew qualified as an English solicitor in March 2019, having trained with Ogier's Trainee Solictor Programme. Matthew is now studying for the Jersey Law Course and is hoping to complete the course successfully and be admitted as an Advocate of the Royal Court in Autumn 2021.

Dispute Resolution partner Nick Williams, who leads the team in Jersey, said that Matthew's progression was another example of the success of the trainee programme which has produced a number of the firm's partners and leading lawyers. "Matthew has excelled since joining the Dispute Resolution team in Jersey, and this accolade is well deserved.  We are delighted for him, and look forward to his continued contribution to the team."

Matthew currently offers advice in relation to a broad range of areas including commercial and financial disputes, regulatory matters, shareholder disputes, and contentious trust matters.
