Ogier backs Kiwanis Key Leader programme

Ogier has donated $7,000 to the Kiwanis Key Leader Weekend programme, enabling Kiwanis to open up its life and leadership skills training to over 80 young people in Cayman.

The annual teen leadership conference is a significant opportunity for teenagers aged 14-18 to develop leadership skills. Over the course of the weekend participants learn about the five principles of service leadership: personal integrity, personal growth, respect for yourself and others, building community and the pursuit of excellence.

This is the third year Ogier has sponsored the unique learning experience, which aligns with the firm's global charity and communities focus on education. Ogier employees were in attendance over the weekend to support the students.

Ogier Partner Rachael Reynolds said: "We are proud to support Kiwanis in building up valuable leadership and life skills in young people through the Key Leader Weekend programme. The course makes a marked difference to students' confidence and provides an invaluable foundation for leadership both now and in their future workplaces."

Programme Coordinator Kadi Pentney said: "I’ve been organising Key Leader for eight years now and I’ve seen what an impact it has on the students, some of whom come back year after year. I see these shy, nervous individuals develop as leaders throughout the weekend and then become Student Facilitators the following year.

"Teachers have told us that students' performance in school is improved after attending Key Leader and we cannot thank Ogier enough for their continued support of such a vital program to offer young people in Cayman’s community."
