Ogier has confirmed four promotions across its legal, corporate and fiduciary services, and business services teams in Guernsey, reflecting its investment in the development of skilled Guernsey-based individuals.

Andrew Tautscher has been promoted to associate, having qualified as an English solicitor in 2023. He is now a member of Ogier's Private Wealth team in Guernsey.

He said: "Having started on Ogier's Trainee Solicitor programme, I have had great support to reach this next step in my career and I am looking forward to continuing that path".

In the Guernsey business services team, Holly Gwyn-Griffiths has progressed to business development manager, her second promotion in consecutive years having become assistant business development manager in 2023.

"Ogier's support has allowed me to progress in my role quickly and I am grateful to have been given that platform," Holly said.

On the legal side, James Walsh has been promoted to counsel. James specialises in corporate law and has a broad range of experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets transactions and other corporate and commercial work.

James said: "Having started with Ogier in 2018, I am delighted to continue my career progression here."

Katja Martin-Rettberg has successfully progressed from a trainee to become an administrator in Ogier's corporate and fiduciary business, Ogier Global.

"Ogier has given me the opportunity to learn on the job, giving me practical experience and support in my studies," she said.

Practice partner Christopher Jones said: "It is always a pleasure to see valued colleagues develop and progress at Ogier and to recognise the talent we have in the island. People know they will get the support they need with us. Congratulations to these four individuals for their deserved promotions and I look forward to their continuing contributions in strengthening our client offering in Guernsey".

Ogier in Guernsey achieved top tier rankings across five of its core services in the Legal 500 UK 2024 guide, including Banking and Finance, Commercial Property, Private Client, Trusts and Tax, Corporate and M&A, and Dispute Resolution.
