Ogier Leman’s Corporate team advises environmental consultancy APEM Group in acquisition of Macro Works Limited

Ogier Leman has acted for private equity-backed environmental consultancy firm APEM Group in its acquisition of Macro Works Limited, an Ireland-based provider of landscape and visual consultancy services.

APEM Group is a UK-based firm specialising in freshwater and marine ecology and aerial surveys. This is the fourth acquisition the group has made in the past two years, and the third acquisition made by APEM Group in Ireland.

Based in Dublin and established in 1999, Macro Works Limited is a landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) business. With clients in both public and private sectors, the business produces photomontages, 3D visual simulations, glint, and glare reports, and  offers landscape designs for a broad spectrum of energy, infrastructure, and commercial developments.

At the end of 2021, Macro Works reported turnover of £21.1 million which converted to an EBITDA of £4.6 million.

The team was led by partner Edon Byrnes, with associate Sharon Meaney, advising on all Irish law aspects of the acquisition.
