Ogier’s Matt Guthrie recognised in eprivateclient’s Most Influential ranking

Ogier’s global head of Private Wealth, Matt Guthrie, has once again been named in eprivateclient’s Most Influential list. The prestigious guide showcases “key players” of the UK and global private client sector who have demonstrated notable achievements, promotions and progress over the past 12 months. 

It serves as a definitive guide which “highlights the depth of talent and breadth of skilled and professional advice” available to clients across the world from UK and offshore private client professionals. 

Matt, who oversees Ogier’s cross-jurisdictional Private Wealth offering, specialises in advising high net worth families, trust companies and family offices in relation to succession planning and structuring through trusts, foundations and other vehicles. 

His practice is international and he works with families and fiduciary businesses in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the US and the UK. Matt often designs and implements cross border structures, to restructure existing trusts and to advise trustees in relation to complex matters and disputes. 

He and his fellow private wealth experts work alongside dispute resolution and corporate specialists as part of Ogier’s award-winning Trusts Advisory Group. 

This ranking is the latest in a string of awards and accolades Matt has received, including recognition in Chambers UK 2026 Guide and Legal 500 UK 2026, where he was described as "the best non-contentious trust lawyer in the Channel Islands". He was also awarded Citywealth’s Channel Islands Lawyer of the Year award.
