Senior associates George Yates and Stephen Lord have been recognised as rising stars of the private client profession in the 2025 Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders list.
The annual list by eprivateclient recognises, introduces and promotes outstanding professionals and talent based in the Crown Dependencies. It includes individuals with fewer than 15 years' experience who are "shaping the future of private wealth" across Jersey, Guernsey and – for the first time – the Isle of Man.
This marks George Yates's second year on the list. He was also featured on eprivateclient Channel Islands' Top 35 Under 35. He is a senior associate in Ogier's Private Wealth team in Jersey with experience advising on non-contentious matters, including a wide variety of structures, succession and estate planning, and employee reward schemes. George also has significant experience in dealing with corporate matters within the private wealth context. He advises a broad range of professional trustees, family offices and high net worth individuals, and is the trusted advisor for several significant structures, providing clients with clear and valued advice.
Also a member of Ogier's Private Wealth team in Jersey, Stephen Lord advises professional trustees, intermediaries, family offices and private clients on the establishment, operation and restructuring of trusts and foundations. He is experienced in corporate migrations, legal opinions, employee rewards schemes and the drafting of trust instruments and supplemental trust documents.
Global head of Private Wealth, Matt Guthrie, said: "Congratulations to George and Stephen. This accolade is well-deserved and a recognition of their exceptional client service, technical acumen and dedication to their team and colleagues. It is a sign of great things to come, and we look forward to seeing their continued success at Ogier."
