Ogier has again been recognised as a leader in the private client field following a sweep of Band 1 rankings across Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey in the latest Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide.

The firm was described by clients as being “always highly qualified and capable” and having “strength-in-depth”. Clients also praised the team’s “creative and pragmatic” approach to resolving the most complex matters, making the firm the “first port of call”.

The Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide is one of the industry's most respected independent legal directories. It highlights “superior legal counsel” and the best professional advisers for international private wealth, and Ogier’s top-tier ranking demonstrates its commitment to delivering results for clients.

The firm provides high-quality, tailored advice on sophisticated structures established for succession purposes, asset protection, tax efficiency, family governance or confidentiality, as well as relevant corporate law support and local and cross-border trust dispute resolution.

Matt Guthrie, Ogier's global head of Private Wealth, said: “These rankings reflect the quality of our people and the trust our clients place in us. To achieve tier one recognition across Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey, alongside individual recognition for so many colleagues, is an outstanding result.

“As demand for sophisticated cross-border advice continues to grow, our Trusts Advisory Group remains focused on delivering clear, practical guidance and exceptional client service wherever our clients need us."

Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands team was described as “supreme in offshore private client practice” with a “range of talent that can handle complex transactions”.

Ogier's Global Senior Partner and Band 1 practitioner Rachael Reynolds KC was described as a “first-class lawyer”, “the finest legal talent in international private client matters” and “the doyenne of the Cayman Islands trusts and dispute resolution world”.

Partner Anthony Partridge, a “highly responsible and exceptionally knowledgeable lawyer” is ranked as a Band 1 practitioner for the third time. He was praised for his “breadth of experience” and “great rapport with clients”, making him an “industry leader and a go-to resource”.

Senior associate Gregory Haddow was named an Associate to Watch and described as an “exceptional lawyer”.

Guernsey

Clients said Ogier was a “leading law firm in Guernsey for complex matters” and the “first port of call for complex and sophisticated instructions”.

Matt Guthrie, Ogier’s global head of Private Wealth and Band 1 practitioner, was described as an “outstanding lawyer” and praised for his “technical expertise”, “depth of knowledge” and “solution-oriented” approach to complex trust matters.

Partner Catherine Moore was recognised for being “exceptionally hard-working” with “solid technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities”.

Chris Hards, partner, moves up the rankings once again and is praised for his “technical expertise and top-quality client service”.

Diana Rodriguez, who has since been promoted to counsel, ranks in the Guide for the first time as a Star Associate. Clients describe her as “personable, responsive, commercial and practical”.

Jersey

Clients consider Ogier's Jersey team to be “one of the top firms for complex and sophisticated matters”. It was praised for “excellent client service", being “technically proficient" and “very good at handling complex international mandates".

Partner James Campbell, who maintains his Band 1 ranking, was described as "one of the standout lawyers in Jersey" and a "super-effective team player", delivering "excellent, clear and concise advice" and being "a ten out of ten in responsiveness".

Band 1 practitioner and partner Nick Williams was described as being "in the top echelons" and "a really good advocate". Clients also praised his ability to navigate complex trust disputes, describing him as "a perfect Jersey lawyer" and "as safe a pair of hands as you can get".

Josephine Howe, partner, was recognised for her "wealth of knowledge and experience" and “excellent reputation”. She provides a “very high level of guidance on all trust-related matters” and is particularly noted for her “excellent” philanthropy expertise.

Partner Henry Wickham moves up the rankings this year, with clients praising his responsiveness, “first-rate attitude" and “wide experience”, which makes him “a pleasure to deal with”.

Richard Laignel, partner, is newly ranked this year, with clients describing him as "very good technically and easy to work with", highlighting his “technical and detail-oriented approach”.
