Digital wills and offshore estate planning – Ogier partner explores the tech angle

Ogier private client and trusts partner Anthony Partridge will speak at the annual forum for the world's leading private wealth advisors in California later this month.

The three-day Ogier-sponsored international private client conference will bring together the America's elite advisors to HNWIs and UHNWIs to explore topical issues across the Americas with an outlook on the rest of the world.

Anthony, who leads Ogier's Cayman private client and trusts team, will be speaking alongside William T. Hennessey from Gunster in a session entitled "Automatic – Electronic/Virtual wills: The wave of the future?". The session will explore the use of electronic wills to make estate planning more convenient and will consider some key questions on their use and validity.

Managing associate Jennifer Fox from Ogier's Cayman office will also be attending.

Anthony said: "I am pleased to be presenting at the Private Client Forum Americas, which is the leading conference for UHNW advisors to connect and discuss recent developments in industry.

"I will be exploring the use of electronic wills and their validity which is a timely topic given recent advances in technology."

The conference will take place at the Pelican Hill Resort, Newport Beach in California.
