Cayman Islands

Ogier Restructuring and Corporate Recovery partner Gemma Lardner has been named as one of the top 40 next gen insolvency practitioners by INSOL.

Launched as part of INSOL's 40th anniversary celebrations, the list seeks to highlight the young talent in the restructuring and insolvency industry. Individuals featured on the list have been nominated by their peers and colleagues in the insolvency and restructuring community.

Gemma advises and represents Cayman-domiciled companies, directors, liquidators, creditors and shareholders in relation to non-contentious insolvency, restructuring and corporate recovery matters as well as contentious litigation and insolvency proceedings in the Grand Court and the Cayman Islands Court of Appeal. Her clients include Cayman-domiciled, PRC-operated and HKEX listed companies, both onshore and offshore insolvency practitioners, private equity funds, financial institutions and hedge funds.

Notable insolvency and restructuring matters she has advised on include China Shanshui Cement Group Limited, Xiezhong International, Evergreen International Holdings, Ascot Fund Ltd and Sky Solar Holdings Ltd.

Gemma said: "I'm delighted to receive this recognition from INSOL and from my industry peers. In the restructuring, insolvency and corporate restructuring field we're constantly presented with opportunities to develop innovative solutions to new problems. Organisations like INSOL play a significant role in driving statutory reform to ensure we can continue to improve and innovate for our clients. I look forward to continuing to support INSOL in this work."
