Angilynn Baraud

Angilynn is a qualified Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant with more than 19 years of experience in professional and financial services. She has extensive knowledge in alternative investments and the investment fund industry, serving as a non-executive director on a variety of Cayman Islands investment vehicles. Her directorship experience spans a multitude of strategies and structures, including traditional hedge funds, general partners of limited partnership funds and special purpose vehicles.

Background and experience

Angilynn's previous roles include acting as CEO of a pioneering recruitment and immigration consultancy, where she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of management and organisation. She also has significant experience in assurance, having managed a variety of financial services audit engagements covering hedge funds, special purpose entities and general insurance companies during her 12-year tenure with PwC.

She holds a Master's in Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan, is an Accredited Director of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and is a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA).

Angilynn is actively involved in 100 Women in Finance and serves as an appointed member of the Global Council. She also served as Chair of the CPA Canada Cayman Chapter Board and the executive committee from 2016 to 2024.
