This includes multi-jurisdictional trust matters, banking, partnership, fund and company disputes. He also has broad experience in court-sanctioned restructurings, insolvency procedures and estate administration.
Background and experience
Chris joined the Dispute Resolution team as an associate in 2022 from another leading offshore law firm. He qualified as a Jersey Solicitor in 2017 and a Jersey Advocate in 2018.
Chris has broad experience in offshore contentious disputes and non-contentious applications, with a particular emphasis on trust and probate disputes. He regularly acts for ultra-high net worth families, trust companies and executors and has contributed, as part of a legal team, in securing certain of the highest value decisions in the offshore space. His experience includes trust and estate directions applications, restructuring applications, trustee removal applications, proceedings concerning the deprivation of a trustee's right of indemnity, proceedings concerning insolvent trusts and breach of trust proceedings. Since joining the team, Chris continues to advise and assist on extremely high value and cross-jurisdictional trust and probate matters in the private client space.
Chris has been named in ePrivateclient's Top 35 Under 35 (Channel Islands) and Citywealth's Future Leaders Top 100: Super Advisors lists. He has also been shortlisted for the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards in the Lawyer of the Year - IFC – Associate category
