Marianne is an associate in Ogier's Employment team, advising clients on all aspects of employment law, contentious employment disputes and employment issues arising in commercial transactions. She works with clients on a range of employment matters, including internal HR disputes, disciplinary/grievance matters, employment due diligence, Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) regulations and corporate immigration. Marianne also advises on a variety of claims to the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court. For non-contentious matters, Marianne regularly drafts contracts of employment, company policies and employee handbooks.
Marianne also advises on corporate immigration matters ranging from employment permits, business visas, residency permission and more.
Marianne studied for her BA in English and Psychology at University College Dublin before completing her Master of Legal Science at Maynooth University. She has also been awarded a Master of Law in International Commercial Law from University College Dublin.
She joined Ogier in January 2019 as part of the firm’s traineeship programme and qualified with the Employment team in December 2021.
Marianne also obtained a diploma from The Honourable Society of Kings Inns in Applied Employment Law in 2024.
