Mason Gordon

Mason is a senior associate in Ogier's Investment Funds team in the Cayman Islands. He focuses on the formation and operation of a variety of open-ended and closed-ended investment vehicles, including private equity funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, credit funds and co-investment funds, as well their respective management companies. Mason also has experience establishing customised funds and separately managed accounts, and advising leading sponsors on investment management M&A and other strategic transactions.

Background and experience

Prior to joining Ogier, Mason practiced in the investment funds and corporate groups of leading law firms in the United States and Canada. Mason holds a civil law (BCL) and a common law (LLB) degree from McGill University, as well as a master’s degree in corporate law (MCL) from Cambridge University. He is qualified to practice in the Cayman Islands, New York and Québec.
