Rebecca is Counsel in Ogier's Jersey Dispute Resolution team. Rebecca has significant experience across a broad range of general commercial litigation matters, contentious and cross border insolvency and restructuring, trust disputes and insurance related disputes. She regularly advises local and international clients in actions often involving multiple parties in multiple jurisdictions from pre-litigation through to trial.
Recent work highlights include:
- Advising a high profile UHNW client in respect of freezing and other interim orders obtained against him in aid of enforcement of a foreign judgment.
- Advising a leading global office space provider in respect of its cross border insolvency.
- In collaboration with Private Wealth, advising the trustees of a Jersey law trust in relation to the complex restructuring of substantial trust assets.
- Advising a HNW client in respect of a construction dispute concerning a substantial residential development and multiple related professional negligence claims.
Rebecca has been named in Citywealth's Top 200 IFC Powerwomen, and has been recognised in Chambers & Partners and in the Citywealth Leaders' List. She has been described by clients as "an impressive client-focussed, pragmatic and commercial lawyer with an excellent client manner", and praised for her "competent, commercial, pragmatic, thorough and efficient approach".
Rebecca qualified as an English Solicitor in 2005 and was called to the Jersey Bar as an Advocate in January 2017. She studied at the Instiut d'Etudes Politiques in Aix-en-Provence and Law with French in Manchester where she trained and worked with a large UK firm before moving to Jersey in 2008.
